Crowns are usually made from porcelain, ceramic, or metal and require two or more visits to the dentist’s office to complete.

Bridges are used to replace one or more missing teeth. A bridge consists of one or more artificial teeth (pontics) that are anchored to the adjacent teeth with crowns. Bridges are custom-made to match the color and shape of the patient’s natural teeth and can restore the patient’s ability to chew, speak, and smile.
